The Meridian Food Bank exists because there are people in our community who are hungry. 

We are a 501c3 corporation depending completely upon monetary donations or donations of food or both to provide for those who are in need.

The money we receive is deposited into a bank account and is used to resupply our shelves if ample food  is not available as results of food drives and also to cover administrative costs such as utilities.  Our monthly food costs have frequently been as much as several thousand dollars. 

A member of our board has been designated as our buyer and has managed to search out all of the best buys so as to keep our costs as low as possible.
